EPL: Guardiola clears air on leaving Man City at end of season

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has cleared the air regarding his future at the club.

Guardiola has been heavily linked with a summer move away from Man City at the end of the season.

The Spaniard’s current contract with the Cityzens will run out at the end of the 2026/27 season, meaning he has a year left in his deal at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Man City’s FA Cup final with Chelsea on Saturday, Guardiola was asked about rumours he could step down from his role at the end of the season.

The 55-year-old responded: “No way. I have one more year [on my] contract.”

When asked if his reign was the definition of greatness, Guardiola added: “Yeah, of course, 19 titles in 10 years is not bad.”
