Chelsea legend, John Terry, has described Emi Martinez’s imminent move to the Blues as the best signing of the summer.
Martinez is all set to join Chelsea from Aston Villa after reaching an agreement with Xabi Alonso’s side.
Chelsea have already signed several players, including Danny Welbeck, Morgan Rogers and Jordan Henderson.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Terry said, “Emi Martinez coming in the building [Chelsea], I think, is the signing of the summer.
“What a world-class goalkeeper he is. If I had any choice who I would go and sign in the world, he would be right at the very top for me,” he said.
Martinez played for Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament and helped his country reach the final stage, which they lost to Spain.
