EPL: Martin Keown tells Arsenal position to strengthen this summer

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Arsenal legend, Martin Keown, has urged his old club to strengthen the right-back position in this summer’s transfer window.

Keown stated this while speaking to Hayters TV ahead of Arsenal’s FA Cup Community Shield with Manchester City on Sunday.

“I wondered whether they [Arsenal] might look again at a striker. But they obviously feel now Havertz has come through the pre-season,” Keown said.

“I think that is really critical, and he’s got that base for the season, so no.

“Right-back could be a problem if Jurrien Timber’s not going to be ready because obviously Ben White’s had a few injuries, but Mosquera again can go into that position.

“So, that might be something they are looking at, to bring a right-back in.”
