Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has ruled out the possibility of the Red Devils and Manchester City challenging for the Premier League title this season.
Ferdinand also backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season, saying they are the only stable team.
“I don’t see anyone being able to challenge Arsenal this season. They are the only team with stability. Everyone else has had big changes.
“Man City have lost their manager [Pep Guardiola] and the most important player [Rodri] in football, so I don’t see them challenging.
“Liverpool and Chelsea have got new managers, so there’s uncertainty there. Manchester United are still in transition. We can’t pretend that Man United should be going for the Premier League title this season.
“We all want that, but you need to be realistic and realise where you are. I think they will finish in the top four,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
