EPL: They have fewer obstacles – Joleon Lescott predicts team to win title

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Former Manchester City defender, Joleon Lescott, has predicted Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

According to Lescott, Mikel Arteta’s side have fewer obstacles, having won the Premier League last season.

“It is very early [to make predictions], but you would say Arsenal,” Lescott told Mirror Football.

“Considering the key factors, they probably have fewer obstacles ahead of them [Man City]. [Mikel] Arteta has continuity with the players, and the squad now has genuine belief, so I would say Arsenal.

“I know how difficult it is to win back-to-back titles, but that is my overriding opinion.”

This is coming after Arsenal defeated Man City 3-0 in the Community Shield on Sunday.
