EPL: They play like champions – Rio Ferdinand picks team to win title

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand is tipping Arsenal to retain the Premier League title.

Ferdinand, speaking on his YouTube channel, said the Gunners played like champions against Coventry City last Friday.

Mikel Arteta’s men began their title defence with a commanding 3-0 victory over the Championship winners.

Ferdinand has now described Arsenal as hard to beat and a team that plays like champions.

He said: “It was what I expected from Arsenal.

“Solid, hard to play against, shut down the opposition and then fed on some mistakes and punished them. They played like champions.”

Arsenal’s next league game will be away to Aston Villa on Monday night.
