EPL: They’ll fall short in UCL – Paul Merson predicts title winners

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has predicted Arsenal to win the Premier League this season.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson also insisted that the Gunners will fall short in the Champions League.

Arsenal won the Premier League last season and also reached the final of the Champions League.

Mikel Arteta’s side ultimately lost via penalty shoot-out against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

“I think they will win the Premier League, but I think they will fall short in the Champions League because of not having that extra person up front,” Merson said.

Arsenal will kick-start their Champions League campaign against Napoli in an away clash on Wednesday.
