EPL: They’re not dynamic enough – Gary Neville criticises Man Utd duo

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has criticised Youri Tielemans and Kobbie Mainoo, insisting that their midfield partnership lacks dynamism.

Neville spoke after Manchester United drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend.

“Tielemans and Mainoo, I think we have seen enough of it now,” Neville said on The Gary Neville Podcast.

“I am not calling time on it because that is probably too drastic, but I have seen enough to think that is not a midfield that is dynamic enough to play at this football club in the Premier League.

“I think they don’t quite knit together or don’t quite suit each other. I think when [Carlos] Baleba came on with Mainoo, it looked like there was a lot more energy.”

Manchester United will face Atletico Madrid in their next game, a Champions League fixture scheduled for Tuesday.
