EPL: ‘They’ve signed top-class defender’ – Paul Scholes makes fresh title prediction

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has made a fresh Premier League title prediction ahead of this weekend’s matches.

Scholes insisted that Arsenal may not only retain the Premier League title this season but could also secure a historic treble.

Arsenal won the English domestic league last season for the first time since 2004.

The Gunners have already bolstered their squad in the ongoing summer transfer window, bringing in the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis and Ezri Konsa.

Mikel Arteta’s side won their first Premier League match of the season after beating Coventry City 3-0 last Friday.

Asked whether Arsenal could win a treble this season, including the Premier League, Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast: “I agree with that. I think it’s very possible with the way they are looking.

“I still think in the last week of the transfer window they could bring in another player, which is scary. They have just signed Ezri Konsa as well, who is a top-class defender.”
