Greg Etafia has been appointed goalkeeper coach of Tanzanian giants, Young Africans, DAILY POST reports.
Etafia will join Young Africans’ new coaching team led by Manqoba Mngqithi.
The former Lobi Stars goalkeeper started his coaching career at South African club Moroka Swallows in 2015. He was appointed caretaker manager of the club in March 2016.
The former Nigeria international moved to Cape Town All Stars in September 2016, accepting a goalkeeper coaching position.
Etafia was appointed caretaker coach once again. In his time in charge, he moved All Stars off the bottom of the standings to the first position of safety in 14th place, while guiding the club to the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.
He has also worked as goalkeeper coach of Baroka FC, and TS Galaxy.
Etafia played in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, for Lobi Stars, and Plateau United before moving to Moroka Swallows in 2003.
The 43-year-old represented Moroka Swallows from 2003 until 2015, before moving to Highlands FC where he had a brief stint.
He was part of Nigeria’s U-23 team that participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
