The burial of the Founder and General Overseer of All Christians Fellowship Mission,
Rev. William Okoye, has been fixed for October 9 in Anambra State.
Okoye served as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
A statement made available yesterday by his family in Abuja, outlined activities for the burial of the Chaplain, who died on July 15 at the National Hospital, Abuja, aged 74, after a brief illness.
The programme begins with a Service of Songs at the Cathedral of Compassion, All Christians Fellowship Mission, Maitama, Abuja, on September 30 from 4p.m. to 7p.m. to be followed by a Night of Tributes and Honour at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on October 2 from 4p.m. to 7p.m.
His body will depart for Anambra State ahead of a wake-keep at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field, Agulu, on October 8 from 4p.m. to 7p.m.
The funeral service will hold at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Field, Agulu, on October 9 from 9a.m.
The statement added that the interment will follow at the late Okoye’s compound in Amatutu Village, Agulu. The burial will conclude with an outing service at Agulu Town Hall on October 11 at 9a.m.
Okoye is survived by six children and nine grandchildren, including Mr. Victor Okoye, a journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
