Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of creating and operating a purported government agency, has finally appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja for arraignment after several failed attempts to bring him before the court.
Adeyemi was led into the courtroom at about 2:33 p.m. on Wednesday by a female police officer of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC).
He was wearing a long, flowing white dress and a white baseball cap. Although he appeared cheerful, he kept his head lowered, with the brim of his cap partly covering his face.
The case was filed in November 2025 after Adeyemi was arrested by the police in October 2025 following a petition by the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Adeyemi and two others, identified as Femi and Anu, who are said to be at large, were charged with eight counts bordering on conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.
