FCT promotion exam: 33-year-old man caught writing test for father

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

A 33-year-old man, Monsuru Musa, has been arrested for allegedly sitting a promotion examination on behalf of his father, Musa Mohammed, an employee of the FCT Fire Service.

Monsuru was caught on Wednesday during the third day of the promotion examination organised by the FCT Civil Service Commission.

The examination was being held at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) premises when security personnel deployed for the exercise apprehended him.

During questioning, Monsuru reportedly said his father was sick and could not sit for the examination himself.

He said his father had instructed him to take the examination on his behalf.

The 33-year-old also gave conflicting information about his father’s age, saying he was between 67 and 68 years old.

However, his father reportedly told security officials that he would turn 60 in February 2027.

Musa Mohammed also said he completed primary school in 1977 and secondary school in 1982.

Following the incident, the father and son were handed over to the police for further investigation after making statements to operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
