Former Big Brother Naija housemate and boxer Mike Edwards has challenged Nigerian streamer and singer Carter Efe to a boxing bout, urging him to take on what he described as a tougher opponent.

Edwards issued the challenge in a social media post while reacting to Carter Efe’s comments about wanting to face “real men” and “real fighters.”

The former BBNaija star recalled that he had previously challenged Carter Efe to a fight after the latter’s first bout, saying he had expected them to face each other after Carter Efe handled his initial opponent.

According to Edwards, the two fighters have since had different numbers of bouts, with Carter Efe having three fights while he has had one.

“I’ve been right here the whole time,” Edwards said, adding that he had previously told Carter Efe to complete his first fight before the two could meet in what he described as a “super fight.”

Edwards said he understood the commercial side of boxing but urged fighters to provide value for fans who pay to watch their bouts.

He also disclosed that he had spoken with Dr. Eazy Adamu and Balmoral Promotions about staging the proposed fight.

The former BBNaija housemate said he would first focus on his scheduled bout in Dubai on November 7 before turning his attention to a potential fight against Carter Efe.

“Machine Mike vs Carter Efe,” he declared, describing the proposed encounter as a fight Nigerian fans would want to see.

“Stop the cap. Now you’re saying you want to fight “REAL MEN” and “REAL FIGHTERS”… I’ve been right here the whole time.” Edwards wrote

“Before your first fight, I told you: go handle business, get the W, then me and you make the SUPER FIGHT. I kept the receipts.

“Fast forward — you’ve had 3 fights, I’ve had 1. So what’s the excuse now?

“Quit fighting these bums and accept the real challenge. Look, I understand get your bag.  But give the people value for their money. You don fight enough now. “

He questioned what was preventing the proposed matchup from taking place and urged Carter Efe to accept what he described as a genuine challenge.

“ You say you want a real fighter? I’m not hard to find. Quit ducking me.” He concluded

Carter Efe recently defeated singer Speed Darlington in their “Chaos in the Ring” fight and followed it up with a request to fight international opponents and real boxers like Floyd Mayweather.
