ready-to-use therapeutic food across the 17 local government areas of the state.\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The Executive Secretary of the State Primary Healthcare Management Board, Babagana Kundi-Machina, disclosed this at a high-level stakeholders’ engagement organised by the state government in Damaturu, the state capital.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Machina revealed that the Yobe State government has invested millions of naira as matching grants in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to procure the ready-to-use therapeutic food, but they are being diverted by some individuals.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>“Recently, the Yobe State government and UNICEF procured over 3,000 cartons of the nutritional food just to reduce the number of malnourished children, but they are being diverted. The concerned Secco president was arrested based on the farmer’s complaints and taken to Barra police station and because the case involved over a million dalasis, it has been moved to the police fraud squad,” the minister said.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> He further stated that upon receiving this information, he instructed GGC to pay the 21 farmers involved and continue the prosecution of the accused person until his fate is decided by the court.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">“The farmers will not lose a butut. We as government under the instruction of the cabinet instructed GGC to pay them and that should either have been done by now or at an advanced stage of being done,” he said.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sabally promised to follow up with the Corporation to ensure they carry out the directive and effect payment.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the farmers’ allegation that the same Secco president  is  currently acting as an officially recognised  fertiliser dealer , the
