Fuel discount: ‘Tinubu confused, second term will bring hardship’ – Primate Ayodele

Daily Post 42 minutes 2 mins read

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele on Friday described the proposal by President Bola Tinubu’s administration to offer a 30-day fuel price discount as a sign of confusion.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said the government was on the verge of failure and that offering a discount on fuel prices would not amount to anything tangible.

The cleric said the President was facing a serious crisis and was trying to do everything possible to secure a second term.

He said: “When we were telling Nigerians that Tinubu would not be able to handle security, people didn’t listen, but the government has been lying about not paying ransom.

“Tinubu’s government is on the verge of failure; the petroleum discount is nothing. I have said he will do anything to bail himself out for a second term; they will do anything, and something big is coming ahead of this election.”

The prophet stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, was desperate to win the election by all means but was confused.

Primate Ayodele said Tinubu would do what he was not expected to do ahead of the election and warned him to be careful about some campaign grounds.

He added that the government was attempting to reintroduce fuel subsidies, which, according to him, showed how confused it was.

The prophet said: “APC is very desperate for this election; they want to win by all means, and there is confusion.

“Tinubu will do what he shouldn’t do, and he must be careful; even the campaign council doesn’t understand what is coming up, and time will tell. There is serious confusion and shame in this government. They are trying to return fuel subsidy.”

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele said Tinubu’s re-election for a second term would bring serious hardship to Nigeria, adding that the signs were already evident.

He explained that the country would face a greater crisis than before.

“Tinubu’s second term will bring serious hardship to Nigeria, and there are signs already. This is not a prophecy said out of hatred but what God has shown me.

“If Tinubu wins a second term, the country will suffer greatly, and what we see today will be nothing compared to what will happen if he returns for a second term,” he added.
