Full list: Coaches with the highest trophies with a Premier League club

From Manchester United to Manchester City and Arsenal, the Premier League has been shaped by some of football’s greatest coaches.

While many coaches have enjoyed short bursts of success, only a select few built dynasties and amassed huge trophy collections with a single club.

Here is a look at the managers with the highest number of trophies won with a Premier League club.

1. Sir Alex Ferguson – 38 trophies (Manchester United)

No manager in English football history comes close to Ferguson’s remarkable success at Manchester United. The Scottish coach transformed the Red Devils into a global powerhouse during his 26-year reign at Old Trafford.

Ferguson won:

  • 13 Premier League titles
  • 5 FA Cups
  • 4 League Cups
  • 2 UEFA Champions League titles
  • 10 Community Shields
  • FIFA Club World Cup and Intercontinental Cup titles

He retired in 2013 with 38 trophies at United, a record that still stands today.

2. Pep Guardiola – 20 trophies (Manchester City)

Guardiola revolutionised English football after arriving at Manchester City in 2016. Known for his possession-based style and tactical innovation, the Spaniard turned City into one of the most dominant teams in Premier League history.

His trophy haul with City includes:

  • 6 Premier League titles
  • Multiple League Cups and FA Cups
  • UEFA Champions League title
  • FIFA Club World Cup

Guardiola also guided City to a historic Treble in 2023 and became the first manager to win four consecutive Premier League titles.

3. Arsène Wenger – 17 trophies (Arsenal)

Wenger changed the culture of English football during his legendary spell at Arsenal. The Frenchman modernised training, nutrition and recruitment while building some of the league’s most entertaining teams.

His achievements include:

  • 3 Premier League titles
  • 7 FA Cups
  • 7 Community Shields

Wenger’s “Invincibles” side of 2003/04 remains the only team to complete a Premier League season unbeaten.

4. José Mourinho – 8 trophies (Chelsea)

Mourinho arrived in England in 2004 calling himself “The Special One” — and he lived up to the billing. The Portuguese coach made Chelsea a dominant force in English football.

His trophies with Chelsea:

  • 3 Premier League titles
  • FA Cup
  • 3 League Cups
  • Community Shield

Mourinho’s first Chelsea side conceded only 15 league goals during the 2004/05 campaign, still a Premier League record.

5. Jürgen Klopp – 8 trophies (Liverpool)

Klopp restored Liverpool to the summit of English and European football after years of inconsistency. The German coach built an aggressive, high-intensity side that thrilled supporters at Anfield.

His honours with Liverpool include:

  • Premier League title
  • UEFA Champions League
  • FA Cup
  • 2 League Cups
  • FIFA Club World Cup
  • UEFA Super Cup
  • Community Shield

Klopp ended Liverpool’s 30-year wait for a league title in 2020.

6. George Graham – 6 trophies (Arsenal)

Before Wenger’s arrival, Graham was Arsenal’s most successful modern-era manager. His disciplined and defensively solid teams dominated English football in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

He won:

  • 2 First Division/Premier League titles
  • FA Cup
  • 2 League Cups
  • European Cup Winners’ Cup

7. Kenny Dalglish – 6 trophies with Premier League clubs

Dalglish famously guided Blackburn Rovers to the Premier League title in 1995, breaking Manchester United’s dominance at the time. He also enjoyed success during his managerial spells at Liverpool.
