Funke Akindele’s ‘Where Is Mr. Right?’ set for August 15 release

Funke Akindele’s ‘Where Is Mr. Right?’ set for August 15 release

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is set to release her latest film, Where Is Mr. Right?, on Aug. 15.

Akindele announced the release on her X handle, where she shared the film’s official poster and informed followers of the release date.

The film, produced by Funke Akindele Network, is directed by Tunde Olaoye and features Akindele alongside Blossom Chukwujekwu, Baba Rex, Bisola Aiyeola and Omowunmi Dada.

Where Is Mr. Right? is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on Aug. 15, adding to the growing number of Nigerian films released through international streaming platforms.

The film adds to Akindele’s work as an actress, filmmaker and producer, following her involvement in several Nigerian hit film and television productions.

The release is expected to further expose Nigerian storytelling and acting talent to audiences beyond the country through the growing reach of digital streaming platforms.
