Gambia Hosts Inaugural CFO Conference & Awards 2026

Celebrating Excellence in Financial Leadership

The Gambia’s inaugural CFO Awards honoured the country’s leading finance professionals on 21st May 2026 at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre, marking a milestone for financial leadership in the country.

More than 200 participants attended the first conference of its kind in The Gambia, including dignitaries, chief executive officers from financial institution, heads of public and private institutions, and board members from both sectors, Director of Finances, CFOs and students etc. Under the theme “Shaping the Future of Finance: Leadership, Innovation and Inclusion”, the event advanced dialogue on the future of finance in The Gambia while recognising professionals who have helped shape the sector

The 2026 awardees were recognised across categories celebrating outstanding financial leadership, professional integrity and contributions to institutional and national development.

The awards recognise dedication, integrity and excellence in finance qualities essential to strong institutions and sustainable national development. The Organising Committee also congratulates every nominee and finalist. With 39 nominations of exceptional calibre, the Advisory Board faced a demanding selection process, and each nominee can take pride in receiving peer recognition for their contribution to the profession.
