Ghana cybercrime operation arrests 19, uncovers US$8.3million in scam losses

Ghanaian authorities have arrested 19 people in Sasaabi, a suburb of Accra, in an international cybercrime operation that identified 89 victims of online scams who lost an estimated US$8. 3 million. The operation also led to the seizure of 303 electronic devices and the identification of 117 suspected human trafficking victims awaiting repatriation to Nigeria.
