Ghana recorded 3,876 cybersecurity incidents between January and July 2026, with online fraud accounting for about 47% of the reported cases. Deputy Minister for Communications, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, said the figures highlight the increasing threat posed by cybercrime at a time when more Ghanaians rely on mobile money, digital banking, fintech platforms and online public services.
