Political economist, Professor Pat Utomi, has clashed with President Bola Tinubu's campaigner, Segun Showunmi.
The heated exchange occurred during a political debate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Utomi was reacting to Showunmi's defense of the Tinubu administration and the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign council.
He told Showunmi that he was not prepared to have the conversation with him.
"I shouldn't be having this conversation with you; you should go and read," Utomi told Showunmi.
The exchange comes amid heated debates ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Utomi calling for policy debates and accountability from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Recall that Showunmi, who recently met with President Tinubu at his Lagos residence and was included in the APC's 2027 campaign council, has been defending his new political alignment, insisting his move was not for appointment.
In the same vein, Utomi has been critical of Nigerians defending the APC government, saying they are shielding those making their lives miserable.
