Golden Boy Award 2026: Top 10 favourites ranked

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí has emerged as the leading contender for the 2026 European Golden Boy award, according to the latest August ranking powered by Transfermarkt and published by Tuttosport.

Cubarsí tops the list with a rating of 81.206, ahead of Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal, who has a score of 80.583.

The ranking recognises some of Europe’s most promising young footballers and features several players who have made major breakthroughs at their respective clubs.

Here are the top 10 players in the August 2026 European Golden Boy ranking:

1. Pau Cubarsí – Barcelona

Cubarsí leads the ranking with a rating of 81.206. The Barcelona defender has continued to establish himself as one of Europe’s most highly rated young talents.

2. Lamine Yamal – Barcelona

Yamal follows closely behind his Barcelona teammate with 80.583. The winger remains one of the most prominent young players in world football.

3. Yan Diomande – Real Madrid

Real Madrid forward Yan Diomande occupies third place with a rating of 75.342. His strong performances have placed him among the leading contenders for the prestigious award.

4. Warren Zaïre-Emery – PSG

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery is fourth on the list with 74.041. The French youngster continues to feature prominently among Europe’s top emerging talents.

5. Ayyoub Bouaddi – Lille

Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi takes fifth place with 66.753.

6. Vasco Sousa – Porto

Porto youngster Vasco Sousa ranks sixth, recording a rating of 61.469.

7. Rayan Vitor – Bournemouth

Bournemouth forward Rayan Vitor is seventh with 61.135, maintaining his place among the leading young players in the ranking.

8. Endrick – Real Madrid

Real Madrid forward Endrick occupies eighth position with a rating of 60.933. The Brazilian remains one of the most closely watched young talents in European football.

9. Justin Kroupi – Bournemouth

Bournemouth’s Justin Kroupi is ninth with 60.530, completing a strong showing for the Premier League club.

10. Willian Estêvão – Chelsea

Chelsea winger Willian Estêvão rounds off the top 10 with a rating of 60.446.
