Golden Eaglets jet off to China for international youth football tournament

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are off to China to participate in the four-nation China International Youth Football Tournament.

The competition will run from 5th -11th July 2026 in the city of Yinchuan.

20 players made the trip alongside head coach Uwejamomere Eboboritse, as well as his assistants Kalli Mohammed Kachalla and Abdullahi Isa.

Hosts China, Australia and Tanzania are the other countries that will participate in the tournament.

Matches are scheduled for the Yinchaun Sports Centre Helanshan Stadium.

The tournament is programmed to serve as a preparatory forum for the Golden Eaglets as they continue the build-up to this year’s WAFU B U17 Championship.
