The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, on Tuesday, described the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as contestant general of Nigeria.
Olayinka, while mocking Atiku, said the former vice president has been contesting for the presidency for such a long time that even "Google map must be tired of giving him direction" to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Posting on X, he wondered if Atiku's doctors prescribed the presidency to him as a drug.
He dismissed the opposition candidates vying for the presidency, stressing that they are only opposing retirement and not the government.
Olayinka said, "Stop calling them opposition, some of these people are not opposing government but they are opposing retirement.
"Look at Atiku, Peter Obi, and Rufai; one is looking for the presidency, another is looking for a political miracle, and the third is looking for somebody to interrupt on television.
"Atiku has been pursuing Aso Rock for so long that even Google map must be tired of giving him directions. Maybe his doctors prescribed the presidency to him as a drug he must use.
"Every election, fresh alliances, fresh calculations, fresh political mathematics, but the same examination questions, how do I become president? The ambition never expires only the excuses they renew every four years.
"If presidential ambition were to be a university course, Atiku will be professor emeritus, Dean of admission, and permanent president of the alumni association.
"He is now the only holder of the title the Contestant General of the Federal Republic."
