Gov Yusuf to inaugurate committee for third-year anniversary programme in Kano

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the constitution of a 13-member committee to organise activities marking the third anniversary of his administration in Kano State.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson and Director General of Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

According to the statement, the committee was established to coordinate programmes marking the anniversary of the Gida Gida administration.

The Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, will chair the committee.

Other members include the Commissioner for Works, Marwan Ahmad; Commissioner for Health, Abubakar Labaran Yusuf; Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dahir Muhammad Hashim; Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Danjuma Mahmoud; and Commissioner for Education, Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda.

The committee also comprises the Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Abduljabbar Umar Garko; Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Abdulkadir Abdussalam; Special Adviser, Cabinet Office, Adda’u Lawan Kutama; Director General of Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa; Director General of Protocol, Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo; and Director General of Research and Documentation, Nana Asma’u Jibrin.

Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary of Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs (REPA), will serve as secretary of the committee.

“The committee has been mandated to organise a befitting programme to commemorate the administration’s third anniversary and showcase achievements recorded by the present administration,” the statement said.

The statement added that Governor Yusuf is expected to inaugurate the committee at 3 pm on Friday at the Cabinet Office Conference Hall in Kano.
