GPRTU, GRTCC suspend decision on proposed public transport fare increase

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) have suspended a decision on a proposed increase in public transport fares for 2026. The two transport bodies said consultations with the Ministry of Transport had begun following a meeting with the sector Minister and his technical team in Accra on Tuesday, September 8.
