Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM), Gashish District, Rwas Paul Danladi, and injured two others in separate attacks in Barkin Ladi and other parts of Plateau State.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Danladi was attacked at about 6pm on Wednesday around Rantis Village along the Gashish-Barkin Ladi road while returning to Barkin Ladi on his motorcycle.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Berom Youth Moulders-Association, BYM, confirmed the killing in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Rwang Tengwong, and made available to newsmen in Jos on Thursday.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the association, “Rwas Paul Danladi was attacked on Wednesday evening around Rantis Village while returning to Barkin Ladi on his motorcycle.”\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BYM condemned the killing, describing Danladi as a respected community leader, and extended its condolences to his family, friends and the entire Gashish community.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The association said other attacks were also recorded across parts of the Berom communities on Wednesday, leaving two persons injured.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to BYM, one person sustained serious injuries following an attack around Gwom-Ajang in Foron and was taken to the Jos University Teaching Hospital for treatment.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The association added that Mafeng Samuel Lamba was injured along Sho Road and taken to hospital.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It further alleged that Bitrus Pam Dadon was attacked along Sho Road and had his motorcycle stolen.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group called on the Plateau State Government, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, DSS and other relevant security agencies to urgently investigate the killing, apprehend those responsible and strengthen surveillance along vulnerable roads and communities in Barkin Ladi, Jos South, Riyom and other affected areas.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BYM also urged the security agencies to intensify intelligence gathering and take proactive measures to margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" >\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\u003Cp>The Plateau Vanguard for Democracy, PVD, has commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for flagging off the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 41-kilometre Bisichi–Fan–Mangu Halle Road, describing the project as significant for connectivity and economic activity across Plateau State.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>National Coordinator of the PVD, Chris Ishaku, in a statement on Wednesday, said the importance of the road goes beyond the communities directly located along the corridor, given its potential to strengthen movement between Plateau’s three senatorial districts.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Governor Mutfwang had earlier on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, flagged off the project at Fan District, explaining that the road, originally awarded in December 2012 as a surface-dressed road on a laterite base, had been redesigned and upgraded to a full asphalt road.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Reacting to the development, Ishaku said the decision to comprehensively reconstruct the road was particularly significant because of its potential impact on farmers, traders, commuters and rural communities.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>“The Plateau Vanguard for Democracy welcomes the flag-off of the Bisichi–Fan–Mangu Halle Road.
