“He Paid Me ₦250,000 Out Of ₦30m From His Celebrity Fight With Carter Efe” — Speed Darlington’s Manager, Goski Alleges Exploitation, Announces Split

Goski, the personal assistant of Nigerian singer Speed Darlington, has announced the end of their four-year working relationship, accusing the entertainer of exploitation and poor treatment despite his contributions to the singer’s career.

In a public statement, Goski thanked Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Achakpo, for the opportunity to work with him but said he was no longer interested in working with the singer.

“I’m no longer with Speedy. Nobody should call me, nobody should involve me or text me about booking him or whatever it is,” he said.

Goski alleged that Speed Darlington was looking for a personal assistant he could intimidate rather than someone who could contribute to his career, secure jobs and create content.

He claimed to have connected the singer to several clients and influential individuals, adding that he had also supported him during his arrest by travelling repeatedly to Abuja and spending his personal money to resolve issues.

According to Goski, he was poorly compensated despite the work he put into securing opportunities for the singer. He alleged that after Speed Darlington received ₦30 million from a deal, he was paid only ₦250,000.

“250,000, 0.75% out of 30 million. Not even one per cent. Not even one million,” he said.

Goski also claimed that the singer had previously promised to give him six per cent from every job but later insisted they had no formal contract.

He further alleged that he frequently paid his own transport costs despite arranging flights for Speed Darlington and his assistant.

Questioning his treatment after years of loyalty, Goski said, “Even if I don’t have a contract with you, does it mean that you keep me like trash?”

He concluded by reiterating that he would no longer work with the singer and was open to collaborations with others.

“I’m not with Speedy, and I’ll never be with him anymore,” he said.
