United States president, Donald Trump has sparked reactions after openly complimenting rapper Nicki Minaj’s backside during a rally in Port Huron, Michigan.
The moment happened on Sunday, October 25, after Trump and Minaj arrived at McMorran Place Arena aboard Air Force One.
While addressing the crowd, Trump turned his attention to the award-winning rapper and made a remark about her physical appearance that drew cheers from the audience.
“By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before — Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss,” the president said.
He then asked Minaj to stand up as the crowd reacted to his comment. Trump also appeared to acknowledge that his words could be taken the wrong way, saying he hoped the rapper was not offended.
“I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time,” he added.
The unexpected compliment quickly became a talking point, drawing attention to the unusual exchange between the president and the music star at the Michigan rally.
