A Fulani herder has reportedly been killed while 42 cattle were allegedly rustled in Bankansarki area, around Sagas in Kongon Langai District of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Thursday night.
According to the report, the victim was attacked while tending the cattle, after which the attackers allegedly took away the 42 animals.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, amid continued tension and attacks in parts of Mangu.
The report linked the latest incident to an earlier attack on September 12 around Sabon Gari in Mangu, where three Fulani herders were reportedly killed and about 50 cattle allegedly rustled.
There were also reports of houses and cattle being destroyed around Kantoma on Sunday, although the circumstances surrounding that incident had not been independently confirmed.
