The Ghana Police Service has broken up an armed robbery gang accused of attacking gold dealers rsquo; shops, mining sites and communities in parts of the Ashanti and Western regions. The gang was dismantled through a series of intelligence-led operations conducted between August and September 4, 2026, leading to the arrest of five suspects, the death of another and the recovery of 3 AK-47 assault rifles and 357 rounds of ammunition.
