Voters can use the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) online Polling Unit Locator to find their assigned polling unit ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to INEC, the directions shown by the locator are approximate, so voters should confirm the location before election day.
The presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for January 16, 2027 while Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in participating states are scheduled for February 6, according to INEC’s election calendar.
How do you find your polling unit?
Visit INEC’s Polling Unit Locator and follow the instructions on the portal to look up your polling-unit location.
Check the location and any directions shown, bearing in mind that INEC describes those directions as approximate.
What if you cannot find your details?
Check your information using INEC’s official voter services and follow the instructions available there.
If you still cannot confirm your polling unit, seek guidance through INEC’s official channels before election day. The exact steps for resolving a missing or incorrect record should be confirmed with INEC.
What should you remember on election day?
Go to the polling unit where you are registered and take your physical Permanent Voter Card (PVC). INEC’s current voter guidance says voters must be physically present and verified through BVAS before voting.
The election calendar currently lists accreditation and voting from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Voters are advised to check INEC’s announcements for any updates.
