IGP Disu mourns 25 killed in NAF aircraft crash

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Friday paid a condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, following the Nigerian Air Force NAF 931 aircraft crash that claimed 25 lives.

During the visit on October 9, 2026, Disu conveyed the condolences of the Nigeria Police Force to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who died in the crash.

He expressed the solidarity of the police with the Air Force and prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved families and colleagues of the deceased.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aniete Iniedu, quoted the IGP as saying: “The Nigeria Police Force remains in solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force at this difficult time and honours the service and sacrifice of those who lost their lives.”
