African music and culture will take centre stage in Dallas, Texas, on September 12, with Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort joining AFRIMMA as presenting sponsor of this year’s music festival.
Themed “A Day in Africa,” the festival which will take place at Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center will bring together music, food, culture and tourism, alongside performances and appearances by African artistes, DJs, creators and other industry stakeholders.
Known for its naturally occurring warm and cold springs in Ekiti State, the collaboration will see Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, showcase and position Nigeria’s tourism and cultural experiences before an international audience.
AFRIMMA Founder, Anderson Obiagwu, said the collaboration would extend beyond music to other aspects of African culture and tourism.
“This partnership is bigger than music. AFRIMMA has always been about showcasing the very best of Africa to the world,” Obiagwu said.
He added that the festival would provide an opportunity to draw attention to Nigeria’s tourism, cultural and natural attractions.
“Now we have an opportunity to use the global power of African music to shine a spotlight on Nigeria’s incredible tourism, beauty and culture.”
