Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has launched a scathing attack on his successor, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for attacking the judge who sacked him as the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Imo West Senatorial candidate.
Speaking at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, Okorocha said it was horrible and uncivilized for Uzodimma's aides to criticise and insult Justice Obiora Egwuatu.
Recall that the court on October 29 sacked Uzodimma and declared Okorocha as the authentic APC candidate for the 2027 election.
However, the camp of Uzodimma allegedly described the judgment as rubbish and procured, saying the judge should look at himself in the mirror.
Reacting, Okorocha condemned the statement credited to Uzodimma's aide, describing it as very horrible.
"I listened to that statement, and it was so horrible, so terrible, that Governor Uzodimma's aides, in the name of his Deputy Chief of Staff and the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, could berate and insult a judge to that extent.
"So it means that whenever the judgment is for Uzodimma, then it is good but whenever it's against him, then the judiciary is evil. This is very ridiculous.
"I want to advise Governor Uzodimma that he should go to the Appeal Court and stop using attack dogs to insult judges," Okorocha said.
