King Charles Douglas MacPepple Jaja was on Saturday crowned the sixth Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom in Rivers State, at a colourful ceremony attended by prominent Nigerians, traditional rulers and government officials.
The coronation, held at King Jaja Square in Opobo Town, marked the formal installation of the new monarch, who succeeds the late King Dandeson Douglas Jaja.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, were among the dignitaries who attended the ceremony.
