Independence Day: Nigeria’s future bright despite current challenges – Gov Namadi

Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the future of the country, saying Nigeria has the capacity to overcome its current challenges and emerge stronger.

Namadi made the call while speaking with journalists on Thursday to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

The governor acknowledged that the country was facing various challenges but said such difficulties were natural in the development of any nation.

He stressed that the efforts of past and present leaders, alongside the sacrifices of citizens, had enabled Nigeria to remain a united nation with a significant presence in the international political and economic community.

Namadi dismissed concerns about the future of Nigeria, saying the country’s prospects remained bright despite the challenges confronting it.

“The Nigerian future is hopeful. The current political and economic reforms are making significant impacts. The improvement in infrastructure and public service is accelerating economic growth.

“Therefore, based on real indices, we are fostering a greater future for Nigeria,” he said.

The governor said Nigeria’s existing and emerging challenges could be overcome through collective efforts, sacrifice and patriotism.

“We have challenges, from existing to emerging ones. However, with collective effort, sacrifice, and patriotism, all barriers can be tackled and paved the way for a stronger, more prosperous, and greater Nigeria,” he said.

He assured Nigerians that the APC-led Federal Government would continue to initiate programmes and projects aimed at creating opportunities for citizens to develop their potential and achieve better living conditions.

Namadi urged Nigerians to remain committed to the country’s progress and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
