INEC begins voters’ register display, PVC distribution in Kebbi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kebbi State has commenced the display of the preliminary voters’ register and distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the state’s 21 local government areas.

The Head of Voter Education at INEC in Kebbi, Malam Haladu Saadu, said the exercise would run from October 9 to October 15, 2026, at registration area centres.

Saadu explained that after the completion of the display and PVC distribution at the registration area level, collection would commence at polling units to ensure that eligible voters who turned up could obtain their cards.

He added that the display of the voters’ register and distribution of PVCs were taking place simultaneously across the 21 local government areas of the state.

However, visits to some display centres showed a low turnout, with only a few residents seen checking the displayed lists as of the time of filing this report.

The exercise provides registered voters an opportunity to verify their details on the preliminary register and collect available PVCs ahead of future elections.
