ABUJA — The Labour Party, LP, has said the initial glitches encountered on the candidate nomination portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have been resolved.
The party said it was satisfied with the handling of the upload of its list of candidates, adding that the process had been smooth after some initial challenges.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Ken Asogwa, disclosed this in a telephone interview with Vanguard on Monday.
According to him, the party, like others, experienced difficulties at the early stage of the exercise, particularly over the sequence of names of some candidates.
He said: “Apart from the initial difficulties owing to the confusion over the sequence of the names of some candidates, we have not had any major challenge since the process started.
“We have been engaging with relevant departments of INEC to ensure a hitch-free process going forward.”
