What shall we say unto the Lord? Thank you LORD!
Brethren, congratulations, we made it to the last quarter of 2026.
That, we are alive is an indication that God has not forgotten us.
Indeed, God never forgets anyone. When the Bible says, God remembers a person; it simply means that person’s time has come.
In the ember months of this year, your time would come in Jesus name.
Beloved, it’s time for self-assessment. You need to ask yourself, what have I been doing in the last six months? Where do I need to improve? The focus hereis on spiritual life. Indeed your relationship with God.
A person that has no relationship with God need not expect something from the LORD.
In this part of the world, superstitious people believe the ember months are to be feared but not for those in Christ. A Christian sees in differently because it is written in Ecclesiastes 7 vs. 8 ( NIV): “The end of a matter is better than its beginning and patience is better than pride”.
However, the end can only better if a good foundation was put in place.
God expects us to be fruitful in every area of life. Not just in child bearing but also in soul winning for Christ.
The Lord also wants our labour to be fruitful. God takes no pleasure in his children enduring when they should be enjoying the fruits of labour.
Let’s consider the attitude of our Lord Jesus to barrenness.
Matthew 21 vs. 18 &19 (KJV) : “ Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforth forever. And presently the fig tree withered away.”
Genesis 21 vs. 8: ( KJV) “ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.
God commanded fruitfulness. If a person works hard and has nothing to show for it, that isn’t the will of God. The will of God is for us to enjoy the fruits of our labour. God wants you to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Psalm 128 vs 3: “ Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table”.
It therefore means that when we get married, God expects us to have children.
No wonder the Bible says in Psalm 127 vs. 3: “ Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward”.
Brethren, have you been married without children for some years? Worry not. Instead of worry, develop your prayer life.
Begin to sow seeds with prayer, worship, service to God, thanksgiving etc.
You need to be hot in prayer. A desperate situation requires desperate prayers for a change to manifest.
Perhaps, you have been praying for your heart’s desires from January to August, if you have done this, it time to reap from what you have sowed.
In other words, begin to claim your right in the Lord.
Search for Bible passages that address your needs and begin to ask the Lord to remember you and grant your heart’s desires.
If you are not as old as Abraham and Sarah, then there is hope much hope that you would soon be parents .
It is the Lord that implants fruits into the womb. He makes conception happen at its own time.
Brethren, if you are trusting God for children, you need to be specific. Hannah did and she got exactly what she asked for and more.
1st Samuel 1 vs. 11: “ And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head”.
God gave her Samuel and more.
1st Samuel 2 vs. 21: “ And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
In prayer, you must be specific. If you want a baby girl, say so in prayer. If you want a set of twins, say so.
The Bible says, in Isaiah 59 vs. 1: “ Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:”.
Verse 2 tells us why God may not answer our prayers.
“ But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear”.
Brethren, do everything to keep away from sins so that the LORD would answer your prayer.
May God hear and respond to your prayer in the last quarter of this year.
God heard Hannah. He is still available to hear you only if you keep his commandments.
During the last annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG) we witnessed amazing testimonies.
I’ll share some.
A couple testified that they had been married since 2011 about 15 years without children. Like many people in their condition, they didn’t just sit and fold their arms, they sought help from doctors.
According to them, they subjected themselves to In Vitro Fertilization ( IVF) thatfailed.
When science failed them, they turned to God and our awesome God gave them a set of quadruplets, two boys and two girls.
Once God she conceived , she began to see the end of the challenge in focus.
The couple began to see the fruits of the prayer seeds that they had sowed.
Imagine the joy that filled their home after years of waiting.
There was also the testimony of a woman that was barren for 32 years.
She was at one of the Holy Ghost night services when our father in the Lord, daddy Adeboye released the word of God “ there is somebody here you have aged and you are still trusting God for the fruit of the womb.
The woman caught the word and to the glory of God, she conceived in 2025 and is now the mother of a baby girl.
You can imagine what people must have said about her.
They wrote her off but the woman refused to write herself off but held on firmly to God.
As you hold on to God these ember months, the glory of God will manifest in your life in Jesus name.
Brethren, fire your prayer life with more prayer and the Lord will answer you.
You shall not miss your blessings in Jesus name.
It shall end in Praise.
