Jigawa Assembly confirms Ahmad Kaugama as commissioner

The Jigawa State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Ahmad Kaugama as a commissioner and member of the Jigawa State Executive Council.

The nomination of Alhaji Ahmad Kaugama was conveyed in a letter forwarded by Governor Malam Umar Namadi and read during plenary by the Speaker of the House, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.

During the screening exercise, lawmakers reviewed the nominee’s educational background, professional experience, and public service record. Following deliberations, members of the Assembly unanimously approved his appointment.

Announcing the decision, the Speaker, Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, confirmed Kaugama as a commissioner in the Jigawa State Government.

Speaking to journalists shortly after his confirmation, Alhaji Ahmad Kaugama expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi for finding him worthy of the appointment. He pledged to contribute his experience and expertise towards the development of the state.

Kaugama noted that he joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after retiring from the Federal Civil Service and described his appointment as an opportunity to further support the administration in achieving the goals of its 12-Point Agenda.

DAILY POST recalls that Governor Umar Namadi had earlier forwarded Kaugama’s name to the Jigawa State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
