Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board demands N7.5m initial Hajj deposit

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed intending pilgrims to make an initial deposit of N7.5 million for the Hajj exercise.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the board’s spokesman, Habibu Yarima, Umar said the measure was in line with its resolve to ensure a hitch-free Hajj exercise, adding that only 87 days remained before the September deadline set by the National Hajj and Umrah Commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expires.

The statement urged intending pilgrims to make the required payment promptly in order to avoid unnecessary delays and to ensure proper allocation of Hajj seats.

It further commended the state government for the initiative taken to ensure that tickets reach every intending pilgrim bound for the Holy Land.
