Jigawa Speaker Dangyatin emerges APC consensus candidate for Miga 2027 polls

Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the Miga State Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC representative from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, Usman Dange, announced this while addressing journalists after the conclusion of the party’s primary elections conducted across the 30 state constituencies in Jigawa State.

Speaking shortly after his affirmation, Dangyatin pledged to sustain efforts towards initiating projects, programmes and legislation aimed at improving the social and economic wellbeing of people in his constituency and the state at large.

He also assured party members and supporters of continued cordial relations between the legislative and executive arms of government to ensure the successful implementation of Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda, which he described as beneficial to the people of the state.

According to him, the APC-led administration in the state remains committed to transforming Jigawa into a more prosperous and developed state.

Dangyatin further expressed appreciation to APC stakeholders and supporters in Miga Constituency for reposing confidence in him to contest the 2027 election.

Reacting to the outcome of the State Assembly primaries, the Jigawa APC chairman, Ahmed Mailing MK, described the exercise as peaceful and successful, noting that it followed the same process earlier adopted during the National Assembly primaries.

He said the successful conduct of the primaries had further strengthened the party’s confidence in securing victory for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and winning all elective positions in Jigawa State during the 2027 general elections.

The APC chairman also commended the party’s primary election committee from the national headquarters, Governor Umar Namadi, party stakeholders and members for their contributions towards the success of the exercise.
