Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has denied reports alleging that he fathered a child with another woman, describing the claims as false and warning that those responsible could face legal action.
The ‘Ololufe Mi’ crooner addressed the allegation in a statement shared on his Instagram Story after the claims continued to circulate online.
Jux said he initially chose to ignore the reports but decided to respond after they began affecting his name, family, businesses and reputation.
“Reports have been circulating claiming that I am the father of a certain person’s child,” he said, adding that he had been following the situation “calmly” without giving the allegation any credibility.
The singer said he contacted the woman at the centre of the claim to establish the basis of the allegation.
According to him, she confirmed that there was no romantic relationship between them.
Jux said the renewed circulation of the allegation had now prompted him to involve legal authorities.
He also urged members of the public and media organisations to verify information before sharing it.
“I also urge the media and the public to avoid spreading misleading information without verification,” he said.
The 36-year-old singer further warned that anyone linking his name, family or businesses to what he described as false claims should be prepared for legal consequences.
“I have built my name, my brand, and my businesses over many years through hard work, discipline, and immense dedication,” Jux said.
“Therefore, anyone who chooses to link my name, family, or businesses to false claims must be prepared to face legal consequences. For my part, I have chosen calmness, the truth, and appropriate legal steps.”
Jux is married to Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nigerian actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo. The couple held their traditional and white weddings in Lagos in April 2025, after their Islamic traditional wedding in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in February of the same year.
They later rounded off their wedding celebrations with a grand ceremony in Tanzania in May 2025.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Rakeem, in Canada in August 2025.
