Kano court remands suspect over alleged fatal stabbing

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

A magistrates’ court in Kano has ordered the remand of Aliyu Nasir over allegations that he stabbed Magaji Dalladi to death and seriously injured another man, Aminu Nura.

Nasir appeared before Magistrate Abdulaziz Mahmud at Magistrates’ Court No. 15 in Nomansland, Kano, where he faced charges of murder and causing grievous bodily harm.

The prosecution counsel, Auwal Sani Dandago, brought the defendant before the court, which ordered that he be remanded in a correctional facility until November 12, 2026, pending advice from the government.

According to the allegations, Nasir attacked Dalladi and Nura with a knife. Dalladi reportedly died from his injuries, while Nura is receiving medical treatment.

The incident was said to have occurred along Sokoto Road in Kano following an argument over driving space. The deceased allegedly failed to give Nasir sufficient room while they were driving, leading to the confrontation.

The allegations have yet to be established in court.
