KASSANDA | Hon. Hajji Abdul Bisaso, the Member of Parliament for Kassanda South, has joined a select 25-member delegation of Ugandan legislators on a high-level, one-week official benchmarking tour to Kenya and Tanzania.
The diplomatic and peer-learning engagement is conducted under the umbrella of the MP Connect Fellowship, an initiative organized by Faraja Africa. The program is specifically tailored for young and dynamic leaders to deepen their legislative capacity, refine parliamentary practice, broaden strategic networking, and champion cross-border regional cooperation within the East African Community (EAC).
During the initial leg of the tour in Nairobi, Hon. Bisaso and his fellow delegates held bilateral discussions with members of both the National Assembly of Kenya and the Senate. The sessions focused on sharing best practices in legislative drafting, committee oversight, and youth-centered policy formulation.
As the delegation advances to Dar es Salaam and Arusha—the administrative heart of the EAC—Hon. Bisaso remains focused on advancing the core developmental priorities of Kassanda South. Key among his agenda items are expanding youth empowerment frameworks, championing community-driven economic projects, and building partnerships that unlock regional opportunities for his constituents.
Speaking on the significance of the engagement, Hon. Bisaso emphasized that the mission goes beyond diplomatic exchanges, serving as a platform to acquire practical solutions that will directly benefit Kassanda South and strengthen Uganda’s voice within regional governance networks.
