Katsina State is set to host Vice President Kashim Shettima on Sunday for the commissioning and flag-off of key road projects executed by the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda as well as the launch of the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU).

The Vice President is expected to commission some of the completed road projects and flag off others as part of activities highlighting the Radda administration’s ongoing infrastructure development efforts aimed at improving connectivity and stimulating socio-economic activities across the state.

Shettima will also formally launch the NFWP-SU and flag off its Community Investment Fund (CIF) which is designed to expand economic opportunities and provide direct financial support to 57,432 women in Daura and Funtua Local Government Areas.

The visit will also highlight key development initiatives of Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s administration, particularly in infrastructure and human capital development. The NFWP-SU, a World Bank-supported programme being implemented in collaboration with the Katsina State Government is expected to complement these efforts by expanding economic opportunities, strengthening women’s livelihoods and promoting inclusive socio-economic development across the state.
