Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested four suspects during raids on suspected drug trafficking locations in Kebbi State.
The Media Information Officer of Operation Fansan Yamma, Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Danja said troops of Sector 2, working with NDLEA personnel, conducted the operation at about 5:11 pm on October 18 in Dakin Kowa, Karaye and Gubba communities in Maiyama Local Government Area.
He said the joint operation led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
According to him, the suspects and recovered substances were handed over to the NDLEA command in Maiyama for further investigation.
Danja urged residents to provide credible information to security agencies to support efforts to tackle criminal activities in the state.
