The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has likened claims that President Bola Tinubu’s speech at the launch of the APC Campaign Council was pre-recorded to the conspiracy theory that former President Muhammadu Buhari had been replaced by a Sudanese lookalike.
Keyamo made the comparison on X, recalling claims during Buhari’s administration that the former president had died while receiving medical treatment in London in 2017 and was replaced by a man identified as Jubril from Sudan.
He argued that the claim about Tinubu’s appearance was unfounded, saying local and international media organisations covered the event live.
“I really don’t know whether to laugh or to cry,” Keyamo wrote.
He also accused opposition figures promoting the claim of showing signs of “mental distress.”
